about

i'm lotus. i'm a DJ and bassist. i made this space to share my thoughts, shows, music, and anything else that comes to mind. i'm trying as best i can to decouple myself from socials, which are becoming increasingly fascist through their control of political messaging and relentless data collection, so i made this web zone.

i came up in the punk & hardcore scene in new york, where i learned to love moving my body. eventually that led to going to the club and raving, which is where i found my love for electronic music. i started DJing because i wanted to participate as more than a bystander and share my love for music with others. my biggest influences are 00s video games, y2k rave aesthetics, and the DIY punk ethos.

i hope to see you at a set <3
